This is a one of a kind ceramic sculpture created by Carter McCaffrey during his 1970's "Angel Series" period. It is an
unsigned piece but came directly from Carter to his wife, Lola. The sculpture is approximately 18" tall and 15" in
diameter. It weighs approximately 10 pounds, with the interior of the ball being hollow. It is created from high fire
stoneware and glazed with a white glaze. The ball is wheel thrown with the solid constructed Angel sitting atop
the ball. The piece has a strong symbolic presence and will be a
guartanteed conversation starter for all viewing it. Included with the sculpture is a Study on paper for another
piece Carter was creating featuring Lola. It is signed and dated.
